Studies & Evaluations

Evaluation stems from the principle of sound financial management and enables the Directorate-General for Energy to adjust its decisions and to assess the results and impacts of its actions. Evaluation can take the form of an ex-ante, intermediate or ex post analysis (Article 27 of the Financial Regulation applicable to the general budget of the European Communities and Article 21 of its rules for implementation).
Its principal objective is to assess the effectiveness, efficiency, relevance and usefulness of the activities undertaken within the Directorate-General.
