Citizen corner
Over the next 3 years, ManagEnergy will be placing an increasing emphasis on Education. As always, we rely upon the local energy actors to provide us with information about activities in their region. See the ManagEnergy KidsCorner section below for details of how these plans are progressing and how you can help. The ManagEnergy KidsCorner features energy and transport pages including games, downloads, animations, videos and other teaching resources aimed at 7-11 year olds (top left), 12-16 year olds (bottom left) and their teachers. The website includes a portal with
hundreds of links to online energy education
resources in all Member States. It also includes
energy-related educational materials in all twenty
native languages.
The CIVITAS Initiative helps cities to achieve a more sustainable, clean and energy efficient urban transport system by implementing and evaluating an ambitious, integrated set of technology and policy based measures.
CIVITAS Measure Fields: eight categories of measures have been identified as the basic building blocks of an integrated strategy. Each CIVITAS city chooses an appropriate set of measures from those building blocks and combines them to form integrated solutions for clean urban transport in cities. In addition, it puts in place the appropriate planning framework, ensures political involvement and support, and establishes the necessary partnerships to ensure delivery of the plans.
