About the Energy website

This website is developed and managed by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Energy.

Which type of information is available?


  • RSSAll available translations.: it is possible to subscribe to the energy news feed; to view a selection of topics use the "Filter by category"
  • Search: the search box (available on every page) uses Google looking up the introduced search terms only in the Energy thematic web site of Europa.
    The Search tool from the service toolbar extends the search to the entire Europa website.
  • Contact: gives you the possibility to fill a form to be send to our helpline.

What languages is this website available in?

  • The Energy web site currently is available in English. Translation in German and French is ongoing.
  • When available, links to other Europa services (Eur-Lex, Rapid, Summaries of legislation, etc) lead to pages where the information is translated.
  • To display translations of documents, click on the language icon  and select the language of your choice.

  • We recommend not to duplicate our content on your website, rather to insert a link to it, clearly mentioning the source (Energy thematic site on EUROPA, © European Communities). 
  • More generally, links to the 'Energy on EUROPA' thematic site can be created from any website provided that the following conditions are met:
