Databases on the move

June 2007

Since '.eu' has become available for web addresses in Europe, Commission websites have been changing their internet addresses (or URLs). On 26 June, it was the turn of the EQUAL Common database (ECDB) to make the change. Don't forget to update your bookmarks and/or favourites.

A reminder of the new web addresses:

  • ECDB - EQUAL Common database contains data on the objectives and activities of more than 3 300 EQUAL Development partnerships (DPs) and on around 800 Transnational Cooperation Agreements  (TCAs) concluded between them. The new address is: https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/equal/jsp/index.jsp
  • ETCIM - EQUAL Transnational Cooperation Internet module is a tool used by the TCA secretaries in order to input their data. The new address is: https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/equal/jsp/login.jsp.
  • RIFE - Remote input for EQUAL is a web start application used, by some Member States and their DPs, to feed information into the ECDB. It is, from now on, accessible here: https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/rife/
Nothing will change for regular users. The update process is automatic and your previous data will, of course, be preserved.

During a transition period, you will be re-directed automatically to the new addresses if you use the old ones (starting by 'equal.cec.eu.int/equal/jsp/'), but it is still better to update your bookmarks anyway.
