Appropriate use of the European Health Insurance Card necessitates establishment of a Data Base. This permits to identify any European sickness and health insurance institutions involved with the reimbursement of health care services provided in the framework of the implementation of social security co-ordination rules of the European Communities. This Code List Data Base corresponds to that necessity. In this site, one receives the contact information (address, phone number, e-mail address, fax number) of all relevant European health and sickness insurers on the basis of its identification number and/or acronym which figure on the European Health Insurance Card.
