Text available in

The purpose of the Development Partnership (hereafter DP) is to bring together institutions involved in assistance to unaccompanied minors seeking asylum in the Czech Republic. The objective of the DP is to identify and implement the best durable solution to personal and social situation of unaccompanied minor asylum seekers with focus on integration into labour market and educational system of the host society. The purpose of the DP is to react in a best possible way on the fact that the unaccompanied minors simply disappear without any information about their whereabouts as well as to address discrimination and social exclusion of the target group including exclusion from the labour market. The DP will establish a database of education, qualification and employment opportunities for unaccompanied minor asylum seekers in the Czech territory in terms of the local integration as one possible form of the three durable solutions to the refugee situation. The DP will work together on identifying and testing of efficient system of family members tracing as well as the reunification of families of unaccompanied minors seeking asylum as the second form of durable solutions to the refugee problem. The DP will inform about and prepare unaccompanied minors willing to return to their home countries to voluntary repatriation as the third form of durable solutions. The DP will ensure individual assistance to all unaccompanied minors seeking asylum in the Czech Republic through its co-operation with students of the social work department at the Charles University, the Faculty of Philosophy. The DP will also find and test the most efficient way of participation of refugees and unaccompanied minors to the implementation of the project in all its stages. The purpose of the DP is also to offer professional education to employees of the institutions assisting to unaccompanied minor asylum seekers as well as to exchange experience with colleagues on transnational level.
