Teleworking is a new phenomenon in Slovakia, so far tested only in certain partial activities. The novelty of this approach is based in the focus on opening new areas oriented on labour market and identification of new and promising qualifications, popularisation and increasing the information about new progressive form or work organisation, which has not yet been sufficiently developed in Slovak conditions, considering the conservative approach of employees and employers. Teleworking can help to open the new areas of labour market.

Agreement Summary

Text available in

The common objectives of the DPs

The overall common objective of the PASTA project is to demonstrate that flexible ways of working and using of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) at work can significantly contribute to implementation of new ways of combating all forms of discrimination and inequality on the labour market, and to the development of Information Society in Europe by:

• increasing the companies’ competitiveness and economic growth,

• improving life standard and work-life balance.

The project will also work out a series of recommendations for key players of the market that would facilitate further implementation and promotion of the process, thus encouraging Europeans to even greater involvement.

In order to reach the overall objective, PASTA has set up a number of more specific – operational objectives related to different aspects of the foreseen transnational collaboration:

• Analysis of flexible working and teleworking methods which have already been applied in different European countries and various working environments.

• Realisation of broad market research on actual needs, requirements and awareness of flexible working issues among employers and employees in partner countries.

• Definition of new models of flexible working and redefinition of the existing ones – on basis of the actual needs and requirements.

• Examination of appropriateness and efficacy of flexible working applicability to different real-life business environments, and of its competitiveness vs. traditional methods of employment.

• Good practice exchange and dissemination.

• Increasing the level of general knowledge of flexible working among employers and employees (with a specific focus on the SME sector).

• Promotion of flexible working and ICT as a means to re-conciliate work and family life.

• Ensuring sustainability of the project’s impact and results.

Rationale

Text available in

Partnerstvo chce vzájomnou spoluprácou navrhnúť metodiku na zvládnutie teleworkingu (TLW) ako novej flexibilnej formy organizácie práce, ktorá napomáha zosúladiť rodinný a pracovný život, odstraňovať diskrimináciu a nerovnosti na trhu práce a umožňuje zapojenie sa do trhu práce. Rozvojové partnerstvo chce súčasne prispieť k rozšíreniu poznatkov o teleworkingu do podnikateľského prostredia a medzi znevýhodnené skupiny ľudí na trhu práce, s dôrazom na starších ľudí.

Innovation
