Dutch society rapidly develops into a multi cultural society. This also has its effect on the composition of the audiences for radio and tv programmes. The needs and demands of the media consumers are changing accordingly. The 'new' consumers want to be able to identify themselves with the content of the programmes. Many companies within the media industry are not yet a reflection of the multi cultural society. The media industry consists of broadcasters, production companies, facilities houses, ICT-companies, manpower agencies and training institutes. Multiple Choice aims to provide 250 media professionals to the industry. Together with the industry it wants to take away the exisiting thresholds and barriers. Migrants are intensively involved in the development and execution of the project.
Multiple Choice contains three core elements: - Scouting and promotion of new allochtonous mediaprofessionals - Selection, training (if necessary), mediation and job placement - Implementation of diversity policies within the companies in the media industry
