The European Year campaign partnered with NGOFest for the first national event to inform the public regarding the objectives and activities of the European Year at a EU and national level. The event gathered over 200 participants (NGOs, corporate foundations, companies involved in CSR activities, public institutions, donors) and included a complex cultural-artistic agenda, seminars, dedicated open-space for debates.

ONGFest, organised by The Foundation for Civic Society Development, hosted a new national event within the European Year for combating poverty and social exclusion, organised by the European Commission and implemented in Romania by the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Protection, through the Directorate of Social Inclusion Programmes. ONGFest is the most important event of the Romanian civic society, a promoter of philanthropic and voluntary attitude, as well as of public participation, which intends to increase the number of actively involved citizens within the community, to develop the associative spirit and to support the involvement of the associations and NGOs from Romania. This was the third edition of the event.
