From 03/12 to 03/12
On 3 December 2010, the ceremony for the ENGAGE Quality Awards will be held within the Online Educa Berlin. Both, manufacturers of computer games as well as teachers were able to submit their contributions during the last months in the three categories: Best Learning Game, best educational practices and best game for "social inclusion".
A jury consisting of 18 experts from industry, research and practice, evaluated the submissions based on predefined criteria. The award was initiated by the ENGAGE team, a European partnership, which examines the positive impact of computer games on learning success. The ceremony at the Intercontinental Hotel in Berlin on 3 December is supported by U & I Learning, the European Foundation for Quality in E-learning, Caspian Learning and the Inter-Continental Hotel Group. Before the ceremony, a panel discussion on "Game-based Learning and Social Inclusion" will be moderated by Dr. Claudio Dondi, President of SCIENTER. Experts from across Europe are expected to attend. Those interested are welcome both in the discussion at the award ceremony and the subsequent reception participate.
The participation at the event is free – even online participation is possible.
