For its 2010 the festival will emphasize on poverty and social exclusion, recognising that local and independent media have an important role to play.
A special award for the European Year 2010 will be given to programmes that best call attention to the problems of poverty and social exclusion.
Michal Piróg, Ambassador of the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion will participate in a panel discussion on "Reporting on Poverty and Social Inclusion" will bring together local media and stakeholders to discuss how communicators and the media can play a crucial role in helping to tackle poverty and exclusion.
