The objectives to be set out by Visits and Exchanges activity in our Association consist in development, sharing and implementation of various methods about Adults Learning, that our Association is already experiencing for long. In particular, through comparison, we want to pursue an improvement of the process quality in Adult Learning, especially in informal and non-formal field.
The Visits and Exchanges action will develop innovative practices and procedures to transfer, sharing them, in order to understand their adaptability in other European Nations. In particular, our Association will create the possibility of observing and developing solutions especially about teaching and learning processes and to the ITC methods, such as Learning Management System by using Interactive White-Board.
The possibility of transferring these skills to those who will choose to carry out these activities in our Association, will allow us to realize the context in which our training guests operate and to structure new Adults Learning pathways, taking in consideration also their point of view, as experts coming from a different context.
Our Association’s aim is to introduce our methodological learning procedures and our protocol to apply in the target identification phase, educative needs and outcomes, in order to draw a training plan based on the emerged needs.
At the same time, suggestions from our training guests will be welcomed, in order to improve our operative protocol on the Adult Learning procedures. Through exchanges and comparison it will be possible to contribute to the quality improvement and mobility accessibility, as a requirement of raising the cooperation between Adults Learning active organizations.
For the implementation of the activities we will use the following methods, linked in two phases:
1) The first phase consists in providing the proper preparation to transfer (through frontal lessons) the content of our operative protocol. This phase will employ methods, such as cooperative learning, interactive lessons by using the Interactive White-Board and the depth study of different themes through reading and analyzing texts, analysis of contents in which our association is involved, as well as Adults learning official guidelines, both in Italy and in Europe. The creation of a database partners network will be carried out during the visit. Sharing the contents and the previous experiences through a continuous exchange of information, with the whole operative group, during daily operative meeting will be essential.
The second phase will be finalized to concrete the interaction between the participants and our methodological protocol, in order to identify and study methodological options, based on the target audience, structuring, with a specific case, an educational training plan, taking account of the tools to use and the timetable for every single action. Methods such as the resolution of a specific case, the simulation and the role-playing sessions, will be used, in order to comprehend the difficulties of our learners.
On the follow-up phase, the training participants in service will be guided through different essential activities to prevent the dispersion of all the information learned during their stay in our association. First of all, one mentor will be located within each group, in order to follow the training participants in each phase. This role will be very important for the next phase, when the trainer will come back home and will get back to his main activity. Through new media technologies it will be possible to stay in touch and, periodically, the mentor will update his training activity at which European trainers took part. This passage is essential in order to create a constant engagement of the trainer in the activity. Furthermore, each participant will receive updated information about new learning methods, elaborated by our association, since this is also a growing interest for our association to find out the European trainer’s point of view and to keep on working on the protocol, such as a “work in progress”. The trainer, under the mentor’s guidance, will be able to apply the operative protocol inside his own structure, giving evaluation sheets and necessary forms in order to facilitate a survey action and to identify the target, to be implemented in his structure. Therefore, at the end of the visit period in Italy, each participant will be stimulated to continue the application, gradually and experimentally, of some of the analyzed actions, during his stay in Italy, also in his own working environment, in order to verify and evaluate the pros and cons of our learning methods transferring protocols.
Follow-up mentoring phase duration: 2 weeks after the end of the visit.
