FULL DESCRIPTION OF TRAINING CONTENTS
IN THE LANGUAGE OF THE TRAINING: (EN)
Prospective participants will receive a list of relevant study materials along with websites which are relevant
to the content of the course. They will also receive worksheets which will help them identify their strong
points as well as areas they want to improve.
The seminar is based on personality typology called Enneagram. The system describes 9 basic personality
types with their specific motivations, values, strong points and challenges.
The aim of the seminar is to introduce Enneagram and enable the participants to apply the model in
educational setting. By understanding different types of personalities those involved in education not only
will be able to adjust teaching style to different types of students but also communicate more effectively with
learners and colleagues.
Specific objectives of the training are:
- Raise tolerance to human diversity
- Introduce and discuss 9 main sets of motivations, values and needs
- Enable participants to raise self awareness and understand their own strengths and challenges better
- Enhance the ability to communicate effectively with different types of people
- Help the participants to understand how different personality types react to stress and frustration
- Enhance understanding of three different intelligences – instinct, emotions and thinking
- Enable the participants to take to the next level understanding of the needs of their learners and colleagues
- Advance the skill of building relationship of mutual trust, respect and understanding
- Provide tools for communication and motivating people of different personality types
- Enhance understanding of group dynamics and how different people meet their needs and solve problems
in various ways
- Provide tools for identifying and changing unsupportive behaviours
- Provide practical suggestions for further development for each of 9 personality types
- Allow the participants to meet colleagues of different nationalities, exchange experiences and build network
- Enhance understanding of group dynamics and ability to be an effective team leader
The course is based on a formula: theory+practice+feedback=accelerated professional and personal growth.
Specific methods are: presentations, individual and pair exercises , group work and reflection, brain storming,
peer support, games.
The participants will also receive study manuals that will be used during the seminar.
The participants will be encouraged to form a network in order to continue exchange of ideas and support
one another. Up to 6 months after completion of the workshop, the participants will have opportunity to ask
for advice (via email or Skype) if they face obstacles in using the new skills or if they have any questions or
concerns. Moreover:
• The post-course feedback activity will be emailed to all participants, to encourage continuing professional
development and evaluation of the impact of the course on their own day-to-day teaching
• The feedback will be available on-line on the website
• A facebook group will be created
• The participants will complete a course evaluation questionnaire about (aims realized, the setting for the
course, the programme of the course, the content and its usefulness) – at the end of the course
The participants will complete the post evaluation questionnaire concerning the effects of the training – six
months after the end of the course
