FULL DESCRIPTION OF TRAINING CONTENTS
IN THE LANGUAGE OF THE TRAINING: (EN)
Description of the course will be sent to the participants before they arrive. They will be asked to prepare a short presentation about women's/feminist movement in their countries and/or significant women, who influenced the most recent history in their resp. countries. They will receive a welcome package with all the necessary practical details.
Main goal:

The goal of the course is to prepare adult educators how to apply biographical method into empowering education of women. Its goal is also to present and to try out the educational instrument, which is biographical workshop for women on the most recent history of Europe.

Participants will:

* increase their knowledge on biography-oriented approach in adult education;

* learn or improve their skills in biographical approach in education on gender equality, empowerment of women and on European citizenship.

* increase their knowledge on the most recent European history;

* experience and practice communicative memory (according to J. Assmann) concerning European her-story;

* be sensitized for different forms of exclusion of women;

* learn and try out several practical methods based on biographical method which they can then use to increase gender competence and sensibility of their learners;

* be able to deliver similar kind of training or to use its modules to sensitize for lack on visibility of women in the most recent history and to encourage women and other people for more openness towards presence of women in culture and in social life;

* get in-depth insight into the culture of the host country from biographical perspective of its participants;

* be able to incorporate the biographical method into their own educational practice.



Training program is interactive and requires full participation. The main methods are: experience-oriented sessions, memory work, role-playing sessions, various cooperative activities based on biography/ies, discussions and short lectures between the activities, planning of transfer of the gained knowledge into own educational activity. Communicative English is required.

The outcome will have the form of a biographical report of the course. Participants will be asked to try out the different approaches with their target groups and to share their experience with other participants through e-mail and Facebook group.
 
PROGRAMME OF THE TRAINING ACTIVITIES (DAY BY DAY)
Each full day (2-6) of the course will cover 8 didactic hours (45 min).

Day 1:
Arrival in Cracow, reception, welcome dinner in the city center

Day 2:
Introduction of the program, the trainers and the participants. Short lecture on biographical method, discussion. Initial biography-oriented session, discussion.

Day 3:
Presentation of some examples of biographical teaching as empowering teaching - films with discussion.
Experience-oriented, biographical session.
Connection between biography and history: memory work, interculturality, European dimension.

Day 4:
Visiting of Cracow in small groups: biographical city game.

Day 5:
Biographical teaching as empowering teaching: lecture with discussion. Experience-oriented biographical sessions.

Day 6:
Preparation of the individual biographical projects. Presentation of the results, discussion.

Day 7:
Discussion and evaluation of the course. Discussion about further cooperation on Internet, where the participants continue sharing their experiences in applying the biographical methods, they have tried out, into gender-sensitive and empowering teaching.
