TITLE OF THE TRAINING ACTIVITY
IN THE LANGUAGE OF TUITION
European Music Portfolio: A Creative Way into Languages

There is a recognised deep relationship between music and language that is both deep and profound. The integration of musical activities in language learning increases the potential to enhance pupils’ knowledge and skill in both curriculum areas. Learning languages through music promotes motivation and enriches cultural learning.
Building on materials, tools and activities designed and collected in collaboration with teachers from several
European countries, this course offers practical experience and exploration of ways to creatively link music and
language learning. The activities explored in the course support the development of musical competences, as well as
the listening skills of learners, their pronunciation, intonation and plurilinguistic/pluricultural awareness.
This course will be held at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Moreover, in Barcelona where there are many additional cultural and musical opportunities beyond those provided in the course.
This course offers a superb opportunity to share experiences with colleagues and experts from around Europe.
