The course lasts 55 hours of which 30 hours will be classroom based learning in Florence and 25 hours will be e-learning
- 6 days of classroom based learning (From Monday to Saturday) of 5 hours each (for a total of 30 hours)
- 25 hours of e-learning

The approach used is highly practical, based on the expertise of the course trainers who have over 15 years experience in European project management and planning.
A practical simulation is carried out for each topic in focus aiming to simulate the management of the different aspects of a project.
At the end of the European Project Management course, every work group have produced their set of Guidelines on How to Effectively Manage a European Project.

The methodology that will be used for the e-learning course is based on the distribution to the participants of a CD-ROM containing the study materials. The structure of the e-learning course is similar to a Power Point presentation with the possibility of accessing in-depth information relating to a particular slide and attachments containing reference material. Practice exercises and tests based on the themes developed will be available at the end of every section.
During the e-learning based training, the course’s participants will have the opportunity to further investigate on the topics presented during the classroom based course. The e-learning based training will be integrated by a forum space and two virtual meetings during which learners will meet with the course trainers and discuss with them course related issues
The check of the competencies acquired at distance is made submitting a test to each course participant at the beginning and the end of the distance course, in order to measure the differential between the competences at the beginning and at the end of the course.

More information about course methodologies can be found on the EuroPlan Portal at http://europlan.pixel-online.org/
The four weeks following the classroom based course will be devoted to the e-learning based course that the participants will attend from their own workplaces

The structure of the e-learning course is similar to a Power Point presentation with the possibility of accessing in-depth information relating to a particular slide and attachments containing reference material. On each slide of the e-learning course there is the possibility of asking questions to the on-line tutor by simply clicking on the button ”Questions?” which automatically opens up an e-mail window where it is possible to send a question directly to the tutor. The check of the competencies acquired at distance is made submitting a test to each course participant at the beginning of the distance course. At the end of the distance course, a new test is made, in order to measure the differential between the competences of each participant at the beginning and at the end of the course

During the four weeks after the classroom course, 2 virtual meetings are organized between the course trainers and tutor and the course participants to further analyze and discuss the contents learnt at distance. An on line Forum is also available for all course participants to ask questions to the course trainers and share the answers with their colleagues

Finally, participants will have access to the EuroPlan Portal - The European Cooperation Portal for Education, Training, Culture and Research (http://europlan.pixel-online.org/) with which they will enter and keep in contact with all the participants of the 30 editions of the course, joining a network of more than 400 institutions and experts interested in European Cooperation
