FULL DESCRIPTION OF TRAINING CONTENTS
IN THE LANGUAGE OF THE TRAINING: (EN)
The participants of the Training Course are asked to prepare (i) their vision what does it mean "the creative approach in the classroom, or in their specific activities," and (ii) what does it mean "interdisciplinary teaching."
All participants are encourage to prepare short presentation (in PowerPoint) about their style of teaching, and how they are using both taching strategies. The last day of the Training is dedicated to such presentation.
School is the place where the majority of Europeans spend at least nine to ten years of their life developing their talent and fulfil their potential for personal growth. To achieve that more work needs to be done on improving teaching methodology.
For those reasons, OECD performed Teaching and Learning International Survey entitled: "Creating Effective Teaching and Learning Environments" which provides internationally comparative perspective on the conditions of teaching and learning over 70,000 teachers and school principals in the 23 participating countries, in order to identify barriers to effective instruction. The Study highlights better and more targeted professional development as an important lever towards improvement. Relatively few teachers participate in the kinds of professional development which they find has the largest impact on their work, namely qualification programmes and individual and collaborative research. Teachers in most countries report using traditional practices aimed at transmitting knowledge in structured settings much more often than they use student-oriented practices, such as adapting teaching to individual needs. And even less so do they use enhanced learning activities that require a deeper cognitive activation of students.
Much of the variation in these term lies in differences among individual teachers rather than among schools or countries what underlines the need for individualised and targeted programmes for teachers rather than just whole-school or system-wide interventions that have traditionally dominated education policy.
The aim of the proposed Training Course is to present to the participants the variety of tools which could made classes more atractive for the students, their deeper cognitive activation, will provide the students with the holistic type of knowledge rather than particular details without context, simply, armed students with the comprehensive knowledge for 21st century.
Generaly the Training Course comprises two sort of activities: 1)One half of the day will be devoted to Round table type of presentation by respected profesional in methodology of creativity development, critical thinking strategy, and how to apply interdisciplinary approach in the classroom. 2) The second half of the day the participants will spend in the art room developing new source of inspiration, break through creative blocks, take pleasure in their imagination, give them the permission, time, and encouragement to do creative work. Professional artists will be of assistant to the participants during their work with ceramics, painting and drawing.
All materials needed for artistic activities are included in the Course fee!
Participants are encourage to prepare later on at theire home school presentation on prefered topics where they can apply both visual and verbal part of information in order to enhance its atractivity for the students, and induce their intelectual and emotional engagement. Such presentation could be exchanged between the Course participants.
