Erasmus Mundus - Opportunities for Higher Education Institutions (Actions 1, 2, 3, 4)
Country-Specific Windows
"Windows" are additional funds coming from the Community's
external relations budget and injected into the Erasmus Mundus
programme to encourage students of specific non-EU nationalities to
study in Europe. They allow paying for Erasmus Mundus scholarships
to additional students coming from specific countries.

How do they work?
"Windows" are earmarked to fund Erasmus Mundus scholarships for
students from the relevant countries. This should not prevent
Erasmus Mundus Masters Courses from selecting students from the same
countries under the "normal" Erasmus Mundus budget. "Window"
scholarships are therefore additional to "normal" Erasmus Mundus
scholarships. They allow Erasmus Mundus Masters Courses to award
additional scholarships to students from the relevant countries.
"Windows" are operated in line with the standard Erasmus Mundus
rules and procedures. Students simply apply to the Course of their
choice following the normal application procedure. All standard
selection procedures apply. It doesn't make any difference to
students whether their scholarship is funded from the normal Erasmus
Mundus budget or the "Window" budget.
