A new study from the European Commission analyses how quality assurance, school management, admission and other management policies and practices impact on the quality, inclusiveness and efficiency of school education.
The study consolidates existing knowledge across Europe and beyond and presents new evidence on the impact of different governance and management policies and practices in the current context of increased decentralisation and school autonomy.
The findings of the study will help policy makers address challenges related to the overall quality of school education, and particularly with regard to narrowing the gap in learning outcomes between advantaged and disadvantaged pupils.
