On 4 May, senior EU officials and the Republic of South Africa's Department for Higher Education and Training will hold their 4th meeting in the framework of their policy dialogue in education and training at Stellenbosch University in South Africa.

This meeting is being organised back-to-back on 4 May with a joint South Africa/EU seminar on education and training which will bring together practitioners to discuss challenges and ideas on the relevance and modernisation of education, skills, innovation and driving continental and international development.

Good practices in teaching, learning, assessment, innovative pedagogies, blended learning, cooperation with the public and private sector, access to diverse learning opportunities and the shifting role of education institutions in society will all on the agenda.

A 30th Anniversary of Erasmus+ dinner event will be held on 4 May in the evening where South African Erasmus+ students and alumni will be able to share their expectations and experiences with practitioners from Europe and South Africa and the higher education authorities. A Study in Europe fair will be taking place on 4 and 5 May in parallel to these events where the EU and EU countries will be presenting scholarship opportunities to students from across the province and beyond.
