The Lifelong Learning Programme: how to participate

Each year, the European Commission issues a general call for proposals for projects to be funded through the Lifelong Learning Programme.

For some actions, in particular exchanges and study visits, applications for funding to run a project must be made through national agencies – these are known as ‘decentralised’ actions.

Applications for the study visits programme for education and vocational training specialists and decision makers are made at Cedefop’s website.

Applications for other ‘centralised’ actions, which include networking initiatives and other large-scale projects, are made to the EU’s Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).

Meanwhile, individuals looking to participate in projects or exchanges usually need to apply directly to the project organisers, which include universities, schools and other education and training providers. National agencies may be able to provide information on these organisations and the projects that they run.
