Description

The project is focused on improving cooperation among four schools: the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia and Germany. There have been several objectives of the project. Firstly, to build up friendship among students and teachers of all partner schools; to become and feel as citizens of the EU; to teach students toleration, understanding to other nations and people of different origin, race and religion and to experience multiculturalism and learn more about different cultures and traditions. Secondly, to improve language skills, the communication was primarily done in English and secondly in German; to learn more about partner countries from a geographical point of view, to learn more about traditions and culture of individual partner schools; to increase motivation to study foreign languages and to improve ICT skills. The motto of the whole project has been Multi Culti gives power and joy. Within the project we organized a multicultural festival that took place in Broendby, Denmark in September 2006. About 200 students and 20 teachers from all partner schools attended the festival. The students and the teachers worked in ten groups and in various workshops on the topic of peace, they played sports together, did sightseeing in Copenhagen and had a multicultural party where they could taste various meals and drinks.
