The database aims to inspire practitioners, stakeholders and policymakers by presenting "best practices" in the field of
language teaching and learning.
The European Language Label is awarded to local, regional, and national projects that have found creative ways to improve
the quality of language teaching, motivate students, make the best use of available resources to diversify the languages
on offer, and other innovative initiatives.

Video Postcard from My City - A National Contest in English Language
Competition encourages students to capitalize on what they have learned in a foreign language and to be able to use their ability to communicate in a foreign language. Students in the creation of images develop all the key skills of the Framework Educational Programme for Primary and Secondary Education (competence for learning, problem solving, communication, social and human, civil and labour.) Participation in the competition is a strong motivation for students in further learning. Teachers acquainted with new possibilities of foreign language through the creation of images. Competition exists only thanks to the efforts of the organizers and English teachers in the host school, who through his own experience with the creation of video frames in English, recognized the powerful influence of using and creating videos to motivate students to learn foreign languages.
