The database aims to inspire practitioners, stakeholders and policymakers by presenting "best practices" in the field of
language teaching and learning.
The European Language Label is awarded to local, regional, and national projects that have found creative ways to improve
the quality of language teaching, motivate students, make the best use of available resources to diversify the languages
on offer, and other innovative initiatives.

Road to Mountains, Road to Peace
“Road to Mountains, Road to Peace” is a project carried out in the school years 2007/2008 and 2008/2009 by the network of schools EUROSERVUS. The main goal was “to promote the concepts of citizenship, civic society and human rights”.
The network was composed of 10 schools of the region Friuli-Venezia Giulia (of which Liceo Marinelli is the coordinating school), 3 Austrian and 3 Slovenian schools. The project aimed at implementing connections in the field of multicultural subjects in transnational mountain zones, focussing in particular on the concepts of non-violence and mutual knowledge of cultures, environment, nature and arts. The several activities carried out during the project were evaluated positively by the pupils, who had the possibility to improve their own linguistic skills and to collect an important cultural experience.
