The database aims to inspire practitioners, stakeholders and policymakers by presenting "best practices" in the field of
language teaching and learning.
The European Language Label is awarded to local, regional, and national projects that have found creative ways to improve
the quality of language teaching, motivate students, make the best use of available resources to diversify the languages
on offer, and other innovative initiatives.

Light me up! - language lessons for abroad
The project aims to foster language learning and teaching as well as linguistic diversity within the European Union; to raise awareness about five less known and studied European languages; to promote the benefits of learning languages in general and to encourage the study of target languages, in particular; to promote target languages in the context of travel abroad. Activities: *Development of 20 versions of the language sets *20 language campaigns were organized within the tourism fairs in the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Czech Republic and Cyprus *2600 people were directly involved in language games and activities in the target languages *Development of 10 language games aimed to create language skills and test knowledge already acquired *Establishment of a network of 18 travel agencies as associate partners to the project in the five target countries *Eight open language course
