The database aims to inspire practitioners, stakeholders and policymakers by presenting "best practices" in the field of
language teaching and learning.
The European Language Label is awarded to local, regional, and national projects that have found creative ways to improve
the quality of language teaching, motivate students, make the best use of available resources to diversify the languages
on offer, and other innovative initiatives.

Distance MA Training in English
The University of Debrecen introduced a supplementary training for those wishing to acquire an MA degree in English Language and Literature with a teaching qualification. This is the first accredited university programme in Hungary, which works wholly on an electrical basis. The students receive all instructions and material via Internet, and are required to send their papers to teachers via e-mail only. The consultations with teachers are also held in this form. The university seminars are simulated in Internet chat-rooms. The teachers teaching on this training are all highly qualified, the vast majority of them have a PhD degree, while some are also habilitated professors.
