The database aims to inspire practitioners, stakeholders and policymakers by presenting "best practices" in the field of
language teaching and learning.
The European Language Label is awarded to local, regional, and national projects that have found creative ways to improve
the quality of language teaching, motivate students, make the best use of available resources to diversify the languages
on offer, and other innovative initiatives.

Alehop: Linguistic communication development programme
León Solá Infant and Primary Education School is located in a setting of underprivileged family and social circumstances. The school educates more than 200 students aged 3 to 6, whose mother tongue is Tamazight, and also students from the Temporary Immigrant Residence Centre, speaking diverse native languages. Most of the students start school with little or no knowledge of Spanish, and many of them do not gain a strong enough command of Spanish during their infant schooling period to independently tackle the other subjects in the curriculum or expand their social activities in the city.
