JEAN MONNET CONFERENCE 2009
"20 Years of Support for European Integration Studies: From the Jean Monnet Action to the Jean Monnet Programme"
Brussels, 7-8 September 2009
On 7-8 September 2009, the Jean Monnet Action celebrated its 20th anniversary with a two-day Conference entitled "20 Years of Support for European Integration Studies: From the Jean Monnet Action to the Jean Monnet Programme".
It brought together 450 leading policy-makers, renowned academics and civil society representatives from all over the world to foster the global debate on the European Union in a variety of fields and reflect on the past and future of the Jean Monnet Programme.
During the conference, Commissioner Figel' awarded the 2009 Jean Monnet Prize to Professor Catherine Flaesch-Mougin, Jean Monnet Chair and coordinator of the regional Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence of Rennes.
