What does Grundtvig offer?

The Grundtvig programme funds several different types of projects or "actions".

Some of these actions are "centralised" (marked in blue), which means the applications for projects must be submitted to the EU’s Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency. The agency allocates and manages the grants selecting applications with the help of external experts.

The other actions (marked in yellow) are "decentralised", which means the applications must be submitted to the national agency in each participating country.

An annual call for proposals is made for each of the sub-programmes of the Lifelong Learning Programme, including Grundtvig. Read more about the 2012 call and find official documents and guide to the programme funding.

Grundtvig assistants can have any level of experience. They spend from 12 to 45 weeks in an adult learning organisation in another European country

Benefit from a preparatory visit

Meet another European organisation briefly to develop a project together
