European Commission’s Directorate General for Education and Culture organised a peer learning activity on national qualifications frameworks in Brussels with the support of Cedefop and the ETF. Representatives from 37 countries and international organisations participated in the event that explored the international perspective of national qualifications frameworks.
Currently 126 countries are planning, developing or implementing qualifications frameworks. The event explored how quality assurance arrangements, the development of transnational or regional qualifications like the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and comprehensive national frameworks are being used to promote transparency, mobility and recognition across borders. ETF partner countries contributed actively to the international exchange, showing that their reforms in this area fit in wider global developments.
The contributions to the event can be accessed through the attached agenda.
