Erasmus Mundus (2009-2013) - Launch conference
400 participants from more than 60 countries contributed to the success of the Erasmus Mundus (2009-2013) Launch Conference. The event was organised on 16-17 February 2009 by the European Commission under the auspices of the Czech Presidency. See the agenda and the presentations. The Launch Conference brought together representatives of higher education networks and associations from around the world ("multipliers"), along with policy makers, Erasmus Mundus and External Cooperation Window co-ordinators and beneficiaries, alumni and National Structures. See the list of participants.
The event aimed to:
1. Celebrate the launch of the second phase of the Erasmus Mundus programme and inform participants about the new opportunities available under the programme.
2. Provide a networking forum for key stakeholders and multipliers. See the list of participants according to category (last column).
3. Ensure the promotion of Erasmus Mundus by participants in their home countries and institutions. A USB key with relevant documents about the new programme was distributed.
On 18 February, participants were invited to an Info Day on Erasmus Mundus, which aimed to inform potential applicants about the programme and to give them a detailed insight into its management aspects as well as advice on the preparation and submission of grant applications.
An Erasmus Mundus coordinators' meeting took place as well during that week. Check their presentations for information on their experience.
