Database of Masters Courses in European Integration

An increasing number of Master courses in European integration are offered by European and non-European higher education institutions notably in the fields of European Law, European Economics, European Policies and Administration and European Contemporary History. The Jean Monnet Programme strongly contributed to developing the European Integration as a field of studies and to include European integration aspects in university programmes.

The European Commission considers important to update an inventory of Master courses in European integration produced some years ago, in order to provide a useful tool to students, teaching staff and institutions all over the world in their search for study opportunities in European integration.

At this purpose, all higher education institutions, offering a Master course in European Integration, are invited to fill in the enclosed questionnaire. The database which will be created will be made available through the "Europa" site of the Commission and will be regularly updated with the support of the relevant institutions.

Moreover, following the request of the European Parliament, the Commission launched a new call for proposals for a pilot project aiming to offer a number of scholarships to university graduates from the countries covered by the "Neighbourhood Policy" and Russia in order to follow in EU higher education institutions courses leading to a Masters degree in European Studies (EU Law, EU Economics, EU Policy, Administration and Governance, EU History and Interdisciplinary EU Studies). This special call for proposals has been published in the course of April 2010 and concerns the Academic Year 2010-2011.
