EUROPA - Education and Training - Appel ? propositions DGXXII/10/99

Following an initiative of the European Parliament, CONNECT was launched in 1999. The aim of the initiative is to support European innovative projects which reinforce synergies and links in the areas of education, training and culture, associated with new technologies.

Since two calls for CONNECT projects was launched (For Education : Call for proposals O.J. 1999/C 133/26 of 13.05.1999; For Culture Call for applications O.J. 1999/C 163/04 of 10.06.1999), 511 applications were received (267 Education and 244 Culture). The European Commission has co-financed 92 of these projects (60 Education, 32 Culture).

A list of these successful applications falls into the following six areas of CONNECT :

1	Promoting european citizenship via civic and democratic education
2	Better exploitation and wider dissemination of the results of community programmes and good practices with high european added value
3	Promoting european projects to bridge the gap between education and society
4	Organising school competitions in science, maths and invention
5	Culture and education
6	Culture, education and life-long learning

Within each of the above areas, projects are allocated to sub-areas, details of which were announced in the call for proposals.

A l'initiative du Parlement européen, CONNECT a été lancé en 1999 afin de soutenir des projets européens destinés à renforcer la synergie et les liens dans les domaines de l'éducation, de la formation et de la culture, en associant innovation et nouvelles technologies.

Suite aux deux Appels à propositions lancés à cet effet (Appel à propositions J.O. 1999/C 133/26 du 13.05.1999 et Appel à candidatures J.O. 1999/C/163/04 du 10.06.1999), la Commission européenne cofinance 92 projets (60 projets Education et et 32 Culture) sur les 511 (267 pour l'Education et 244 pour la Culture) soumis.

La liste de l'ensemble des projets cofinancés sont classés suivant les quatre domaines d'action de CONNECT :
