18/10/2009 - 20/10/2009 : ASEM conference: Beyond the global crisis: a new Asian growth model?

Bank Negara Malaysia, the Asian Development Bank, and DG ECFIN are pleased to announce the conference "Beyond the global crisis: a new Asian growth model?". This conference will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 18–20 October 2009.

Conference topics

"Beyond the global crisis: a new Asian growth model?" will provide senior officials, academia, and private sector participants an analysis of key issues related to Asia and EU as they emerge from the worst global financial and economic crisis since the Great Depression. The conference will be a unique opportunity to examine how the structure of growth in Asia and Europe will change in the aftermath of global recession and the policy challenges that lie ahead.

The Conference will also provide input to the ASEM process, notably for the preparation of the ASEM Finance Ministers meeting in Spain next year.
