Speakers pool
To meet a growing demand for specialised speakers on EMU-related matters, the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs has created a pool of EU officials who are available to deliver presentations to groups of students, academics and expert audiences visiting the Commission offices in Brussels.
Today the pool numbers more than 50 speakers and covers the following
topics:
- The euro and Economic and Monetary Union
- Economies of the Member States
- International aspects of the euro and Economic and Monetary Union
- Structural reform and the growth and jobs initiative
- Financial operations and instruments
All members speak on behalf of the Commission and therefore express its
official position on the different issues under discussion. All of them can
deliver presentations and lectures in English and, depending on their
nationality, other official languages of the Community.
