AMECO contains data for EU-28, the euro area, EU Member States, candidate countries and other OECD countries (United States, Japan, Canada, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Mexico, Korea, Australia and New Zealand).

Data can be accessed either via

• Download of zipped text files, (zipped text files of earlier releases)
• or Ameco online

AMECO is updated with every release of macro-economic forecasts by DG ECFIN. On that occasion, AMECO data is also packed in four documents that accompany the forecast release:

1. The Statistical annex to European Economy(7 MB)  , which gives long time series for a selection of important macro-economic variables, both by variable and by country. (NB: The data overlaps partially with the tables in the statistical annex included within the main forecast document.)
   
   General Government Data, which gives more detail on series from the general government sector, for size reasons split in two parts:
2. Part I: Tables by country(2 MB)  
3. Part II: Tables by series(10 MB)  
4. Data on the cyclical adjustment of Budget Balances(2 MB)  , which are important for fiscal surveillance.
