Martine Durand

Martine Durand is Deputy Director for Employment, Labour and Social Affairs at the Organisation for Cooperation and Economic Development (OECD). In this capacity, she oversees the OECD work on employment and training policies, social policies, international migration and health.

Previously, Ms. Durand was Deputy-Head of the OECD Secretary-General’s Private Office. She joined the OECD in 1984 and spent most of her career in the Economics Department, working on macroeconomic and structural policies in OECD countries, and as Counsellor to the Chief Economist. Prior to joining the OECD, Ms. Durand worked in a French research and consultancy institute.

During her career at the OECD, Ms. Durand has co-authored numerous articles and publications in the areas of employment and social policies, economic growth and public finances.

Ms. Durand graduated in mathematics, statistics and economics from Paris VI University, the Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique (ENSAE) and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
