Andres Sutt has been Deputy Governor and Member of the Executive Board of the Bank of Estonia since 2001.
Mr. Sutt joined the Bank of Estonia in 1992 as an expert in the Central Bank Policy Department. He was a member of the team in charge of the monetary reform of 1992. From 1999 to 2001, he was Assistant to the Executive Director of the Nordic-Baltic Office for the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Mr. Sutt has also worked as a consultant for the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). He was a member of the Estonian delegation which negotiated the Association Agreement between the Republic of Estonia and the European Union, and a member of the Working Group on Free Movement of Services established as part of the EU membership preparations.
He is also a member of the Supervisory Council of the Estonian Financial Supervision Authority.
Mr. Sutt holds a master's degree in economics (cum laude) from the University of Tartu (Estonia).
