About this site
This customs information portal is managed by the European Commission's Taxation and Customs Union Directorate-General and gives information and explanations on the procedures and systems relating to the "security amendment" of the European Community Customs Code. It is aimed at providing comprehensive information on the security amendment for economic operators who want to move goods into, out of or within the European Union.
The site does not provide news and data on other aspects of customs procedures, the EU Customs Union or EU taxation policies and regulations. Those subjects are dealt with on the website of the European Commission's Taxation and Customs Union Directorate-General.
For more information on the responsibilities of the Taxation and Customs Union Directorate-General, please see the mission statement.
As this internet site addresses economic operators importing and exporting goods into and from the European Union, it is available in English only. Further language versions may be added at a later stage.
