Administrative Arrangements

The European Commission signed Administrative Arrangements with Australia (Attorney General's Department - Emergency Management Australia), Russia (Ministry for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters of Russia EMERCOM), Ukraine (Ministry of Ukraine of Emergencies and Affairs of Popular Protection from the Consequences of Chernobyl Catastrophe), the United States (the US Department of Homeland and Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency FEMA) and Moldova (the Emergency Situations Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova).

The agreements cover among other things exchange of information during major emergencies, exchange of emergency management best practices and aim at preparing the grounds for smoother cooperation during emergencies.
