UNICEF's rapid and practical response mechanism to help people displaced by fighting
(in the Democratic Republic of Congo)
29/05/2012 - More than 12,000 people have been displaced by fighting which broke out in the Masisi Territory of North Kivu Province in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. Thanks to ECHO funding, UNICEF's Rapid Response to Movements of Populations (RRMP) is assisting displaced people gain a foothold to begin to reconstruct their lives.
