Emergency numbers

999/112

Ireland has adopted 112/999 as the main national emergency numbers and both these numbers may be used to call the emergency services in Ireland. This service is operated by a private contractor under the supervision of the Communications Regulator. The overall responsibility for the 112/999 service rests with the Minister for Communications, Energy & Natural Resources. Calls are answered in English and Irish.
