Emergency numbers

112

The Czech Republic has adopted the common European emergency number: 112. It is used for large-scale emergencies and the operators master, besides Czech, English and other major European languages. The number can be dialled from any phone, and the call is free. The number can be used for urgent help from the Police, the Fire Brigade or the Emergency Medical Assistance, though these numbers can also be dialled directly:

  • 150 – Fire Brigade
  • 155 – Medical Emergency (Ambulance/First Aid)
  • 156 –Municipal police
  • 158 – Police
The emergency line is provided by the Ministry of the Interior - General Directorate of the Fire Rescue Service.
