Emergency numbers

112

Bulgaria has adopted the European emergency number 112 to be used by the public.

The Minister of the Interior is responsible for the functioning of the emergency number.

Calls are answered in Bulgarian, English, French and German in general. In some cases Serbian, Romanian, Greek, Turkish, Italian, Spanish and Russian are spoken.

Other emergency numbers include:

166 - The Police

150 - Emergency Medical Services

160 - The Fire Brigade
