/echo/file/eu-aid-volunteers-caroline-africa_enEU Aid Volunteers: Caroline in Africa

Caroline is one of over 200 EU Aid Volunteers sent out to countries outside of the EU, since the autumn of 2016. Listen to her experience about living and working as an EU Aid Volunteer in southern Africa. She describes volunteering as an opportunity to use professional skills and training to make a difference while gaining on-the-ground experience as a humanitarian aid worker.

EU humanitarian aid continues to help communities affected by natural disasters through disaster risk reduction. Caroline is happy to make a contribution by creating opportunities for families affected by these disasters to earn a living, and have better access to basic needs and services.
