In Greece, the new academic year started for both Greek and refugee children in September. In order to support the integration process of refugee kids, Pavlos gives afternoon classes in Exarchia neighbourhood, Athens. "I don't consider them as children with difficulties," says 26-year-old Pavlos, "They want to play, they run around, they laugh, like all children."
These non-formal learning activities help children to get up to speed with language skills, among others, and adapt faster to the Greek public education system.
The project is run by the NGO ELIX and UNICEF, with EU Humanitarian Aid funding.
