Knowledge of the single European emergency call number 1-1-2

In the spring of 2000, the European Commission in the context of its regular Eurobarometer surveys, asked a question with the purpose of evaluating the knowledge of the 1-1-2 amongs European citizens. The question was :

Imagine you are on a trip to another country of the European Union and you have an emergency (an accident, you are attacked, a fire). Which telephone number would you call for help? (INT: DO NOT READ OUT).

The following table and graphic resume the replies by country.
