17 July 2012
The kick-off meeting of project RARECARENet - Information network on rare cancers - funded in the framework of the Second EU Health Programme took place on 13 July 2012 in the EAHC, Luxembourg.
The project aims to build an information network to provide comprehensive information on rare cancers to the community at large: oncologists, general practitioners, researchers, health authorities and patients.
The project will improve the timeliness and accuracy of diagnosis, facilitate access to high quality treatment for patients with rare cancers and identify centres of expertise.
The project brings together 9 partners from the United Kingdom, Bulgaria, Italy, Ireland, Finland, Slovenia, France and the Netherlands.
