Call for tender n° EAHC/2013/Health/11 concerning the provision of an analysis and feasibility assessment regarding EU systems for tracking and tracing of tobacco products and for security features


The purpose of this contract is to provide service to and assist the European Commission in the preparation for a European Union tracking and tracing system of tobacco products and for security features, as foreseen in Article 14 of the Commission proposal on the approximation of the laws, regulations and administrative provisions of the Member States concerning the manufacture, presentation and sale of tobacco products, ("the Commission proposal"), which was adopted on 19 December 2012 and is currently in ordinary legislative procedure within the EU institutions. The service is to be provided according to the legal and technical requirements set in the Commission proposal, described in detail in the tender specifications. The service provided will support the Commission in proposing the delegated acts foreseen in the Commission proposal. In addition, other legal, technical and background documents within the EU and at international level may rely on the result of the present contract.

The maximum volume of this call for tender is 300 000€.

The deadline to submit tenders is the 7 June 2013.
