Complementary information about the Call for Operating Grants 2012

  • The work plan 2012, Annex III states the following:

"...An organisation or as specialised network may receive funding if it: is non- profit making and independent of industry, commercial and business or other conflicting interests".

  • Point 4 of Annex VI of the 2012 work plan specifies:

"Legal independence and transparency is assessed based on the latest available information provided by the applicant together with the application. Financial independence will be assessed based on the financial information for the financial year for which the grant will be attributed at the time of the final report. This information has to be provided according to the form published with the call for proposals and must be certified by an independent auditor...".

  • The 2012 call text further indicates:

«…… to be eligible for funding, the applicant has to be independent from industry, commercial and business or other conflicting interests. The above mentioned eligibility criterion will be assessed in accordance with the provisions  of Annex VI of the 2012 work plan on the basis of the unilateral commitment-declaration to be signed by the legal representative of the applicant organisation. However, this does not apply to the category ‘public body’. The ‘unilateral commitment form-declaration’ is provided as integral part of the application form. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to request from the applicant (s) any additional information that is deemed necessary in order to assess compliance with the above eligibility criterion at any stage of the procedure».

  • At the end of the application form you will find a new form regarding the "unilateral commitment and declaration concerning the legal and financial independence as well as transparency of activities and funding of the applicant entity". This form will be automatically printed when you print the application form.

It needs to be signed by the legal representative of the applicant organisation and the original form submitted as part of the application package.
